Terms of Use
Last updated August 4, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Perennial (“the app”) — which shows you every photo you took on this day, in every year — published by Sapan Patel (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with Apple’s App Store Terms of Service and the Apple Media Services Standard End User License Agreement.
Your content
The app displays photos and videos already stored in sources you connect (iCloud Photos, a Synology NAS, or local folders). You retain all ownership and rights to that content. We do not claim any rights to it, and — as described in our Privacy Policy — it is never uploaded to us.
Subscriptions and purchases
- The app offers auto-renewing Monthly and Annual subscriptions, each with a 7-day free trial, and a one-time Lifetime purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, and subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to when subscribing.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your Apple ID account settings; canceling stops future charges but does not refund the current period.
- Free trials convert to a paid subscription automatically unless canceled before the trial ends.
- All payments are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled through Apple, not us, per Apple’s refund policies.
Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app except where permitted by law, and not to use the app in any way that violates applicable law or infringes anyone else’s rights.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will correctly retrieve every matching photo or video from every connected source.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, to the extent such loss is not caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Third-party services
The app connects to services you configure yourself — Apple iCloud, your own Synology NAS, or the iOS Files app. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, which we do not control.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
